After reading the first‑eleven chapters of Insights into Chinese Culture, I have gained a simple understanding of traditional Chinese civilization. The section Wisdom and Beliefs presents ancient philosophies of Confucius, Laozi and Sun‑tzu. These thoughts show the unique wisdom of ancient Chinese people. In Creativity and Exchange, I learn about famous landmarks like the Great Wall and the Forbidden City, as well as historic events such as the Silk‑Road trade and Zheng He’s voyages. I have only touched on these cultural points superficially, yet I am amazed by China’s profound philosophy and long‑distance cultural exchanges. This book encourages me to learn more about Chinese traditional culture.
