All along, China has been regarded as a national existence without belief. In Gu Hongming's theory, the law of a gentleman is better than that of religion and law. In my opinion, the essence of gentleman's law lies in sacrifice. Belief, an unreserved pious pursuit is for faith, the supreme worship is for worship, innate sense of honor makes life sacred to death. If there is no inheritance of the souls here, why does the Chinese nation continue to this day? Chinese people seem to be born with a sense of honor. In Gu Hongming's writings, the reason why a cause can obtain the continuous fresh energy injection must be attributed to its noble spiritual attribution. Eating the life of fried sauce noodles, holding the heart of the Zhongnanhai Sea. Nowadays, there is no shortage of this generation. The sense of honor in the sense of citizenship goes to two extremes. One holds the keyboard, pretending to be extraordinary, the other is diligent and conscientious. Pride and arrogance are very different. If in the past, as Gu Hongming said, the Chinese people were broad, deep, simple and sensitive, but it is obvious that the impression that today's Chinese people flow into the world is by no means the same, all kinds of examples are not repeated here. However, it is worth mentioning that we often say that this is a time of father-fighting, and sneer at it, but do the same thing unconsciously. Two thousand years of civilization is left in the classics. And how many of them really melt into the blood and bones of the Chinese people? However, when it comes to the profound and profound history of civilization, it is not surprising that its delighted attitude can be self-taught without a teacher. This is one of them. Secondly, if the people of the past were not as Gu Hongming said, then the eloquent refutation was weak and stubborn. What pushed the people to such a situation? How can today's Chinese people let deception not be deceived, let the sound of throwing the ground stir up deafness? In fact, China's society has never been a religious society in a strict sense. Although polytheism exists from ancient times to present, it has never been strictly incorporated into the mainstream ideology. The clan-centered agricultural society emphasizes the belief of blood inheritance. We worship our ancestors, which is the source of our lives. We value our children, which is the successor of our lives. Imagination of the past and the future is portrayed in Confucian culture as a more contemporary family ethic concept - the meaning of life lies not in whether an individual belongs to heaven or hell after death, but in the special position of the family which is in endless continuity. Therefore, according to Gu Hongming, Confucianism is roughly between Platonic philosophy and real religion. "For morality, the people do not have enough wisdom to understand them as ideas, nor enough personality to strictly follow them as laws. For this reason, the philosophy and morality taught by Plato, Aristotle and Herbert Spencer are only valuable to scholars." The morality of Platonic philosophy is too high for the masses, and the morality in religious sense still needs the help of personalized God image. Only Confucianism does not need additional assumptions, it effectively constructs a set of laws to maintain the stability of the country and the family, which is a brilliant creation of the Chinese people. In today's China, cultural conflicts and integration still exist, and the national personality is confronted with the same choice and confusion in the impact of foreign culture and traditional ideas. "Look at the present and still look at the past". The radicalization of the New Culture Movement failed to fill the cultural gap after the destruction of the Confucian tradition. This work still needs to be completed by us today. Gu Hongming can be said to be the first step to take the lead in cultural self-confidence. This step coexists with advantages and disadvantages, but it is always a direction of thinking.
