This quality of which I speak, is described by the two Chinese words yu hsien (骞介棽) which, in the quotation I gave above from the 鈥淟essons for Women,鈥� by Lady T' sao,鈥擨 translated as modesty and cheerfulness.The Chinese word yu (骞�) literally means retired, secluded, occult and the word hsien (闂�) literally means 鈥渁t ease or leisure.鈥�
