The Adventures of Tom Sawyer

Today I have read The Adventures of Tom Sawyer，this is a very famous novel around the world。It’s writing by a famous American novelist Mark Twain。He wrote The Adventures of Tom Sawyer in 1876 and its sequel, Adventures of Huckleberry Finn in 1885。Now，I am writing my reaction to this book。

 When I was 10 years old，I had read this book in Chinese。And this time I read it in English，the feeling of it is actually different。At the first time I read it，I just thought it was very interesting，especially the story about adventures。Sometimes I had thought if I were Tom Sawyer，and I can swim in the Mississippi River；I can become a pirate in an island；I can have a lots of money in a cave；and I can have a little girlfriend…so on。Tom is a very smart boy and he is very happy ，also his parents died early and he was adopted by his aunt。

 At this time，I am 18 years old。When I read it I feel it is very Kind and familiar，and I read this book quick but careful。Tom is also the Tom，he was a naughty boy who did not like learning Bible。At the same time he had great knowledge about history and geography。And he was also a rebellious boy too，he like freedom but not old manners。He want to be a pirate or robber like Robin Hood but not president of the United States of America。At last ，Tom is a very brave boy，especially on the court to observe poor man and in cave to rescue himself and his girlfriend。So，there are something I need to learn from him。

 In the meanwhile，Mark Twain had writing a lot of beautiful words to describe amazing scenery。For example，at the top of chapter 2，there has a paragraph words in：SATURDAY morning was come, and all the summer world was bright and fresh, and brimming with life. There was a song in every heart; and if the heart was young the music issued at the lips. There was cheer in every face and a spring in every step. The locust trees were in bloom and the fragrance of the blossoms filled the air. Cardiff Hill, beyond the village and above it, was green with vegetation and it lay just far enough away to seem a Delectable Land, dreamy, reposeful, and inviting。That is so magnificent。
