The Great Gatsby

The Great Gatsby Book Review After reading The Great Gatsby, I am
deeply touched by Gatsby's tragic story. Gatsby is a wealthy young man
who holds grand parties every weekend, but all he wants is to win back
his former lover Daisy. He believes that money can buy everything,
including lost love and happiness. However, the novel shows us the
emptiness of the American Dream. Gatsby works hard and becomes rich, yet
he never truly belongs to the upper class. Daisy chooses her husband Tom
over Gatsby, proving that money cannot buy true love or respect. In the
end, Gatsby dies alone, with almost no one attending his funeral. This
story teaches us that wealth and social status do not guarantee
happiness. Gatsby's dream is beautiful but unrealistic. Fitzgerald
reminds us that we should value what truly matters in life instead of
chasing material success blindly. The green light at the end of Daisy's
dock symbolizes our distant dreams—sometimes we reach for them, but they
always remain just out of reach.
