My Understanding

After reading An Introduction to Chinese Culture, I have gained a deeper understanding of my own culture. The book shows me the beauty of Chinese traditions that I used to take for granted. I was especially impressed by the part about Chinese calligraphy. It explains that every stroke carries the writer’s feelings and personality. I also learned the true meaning of the Spring Festival— it is not just about eating delicious food, but about family reunion and passing down love. The book’s simple English makes it easy to read, and it helps me see Chinese culture from a new angle. It makes me proud of my cultural heritage and eager to learn more. I decide to share what I’ve learned with my foreign friends, hoping to build a bridge between different cultures.
