给根绳就能飞
What strikes me most about Bacon’s Essays is their unflinching realism.
He doesn’t sugarcoat life: he calls ambition a “vexing fever,” warns of
friendship’s pitfalls, and dissects human vanity with sharp precision.
His language is dense but rewarding—every line demands a pause, a
thought. It’s not light reading, but that’s the charm; it challenges you
to reflect, question, and grow. A classic that still teaches us how to
navigate the messy world of being human.
