The novel has successfully created the vivid and three-dimensional image
of the teenage boy, Huckleberry Finn. Huck comes from the bottom of
society, free from the constraints of traditional ethics and
proprieties. He has a strong rebellious spirit and independent
consciousness. During the rafting journey with Jim, he gradually gets
rid of the prejudices and discriminations instilled by society and
learns to observe with his own eyes and judge with his own heart. When
society demands that he report Jim and send him back to the slavery
system, Huck experiences a fierce inner struggle. Eventually, he chooses
to go against the worldly moral standards, follow his own inner
conscience, and decides to help Jim gain freedom. This process not only
demonstrates Huck's growth but also reveals the power of kindness and
justice in human nature, as well as the instinctive desire for freedom.
