野性的呼唤
白城理紗
I wanted to read this book a long time ago, but I finally calmed down
and finished reading the story these days. The hero of the story is a
dog named Buck from the south. In the wave of gold rush in the United
States, the strong dog was stolen and sold to the cold north. From then
on, his life suffered a disastrous decline. He was brutally beaten. From
his initial anger and unwillingness, he gradually became tolerant and
obedient. He became more alert and more observant. In this harsh
environment, he gradually understood the law of survival. With his wisdom
and courage, he regained his prestige in this strange environment. In
this barbaric and primitive environment, the law of survival has become
very simple, the law of the jungle, the survival of the strong, you want
to live, you want not to be eliminated, you must be braver, more
ferocious, Buck did, he became the head dog of the sled, became the
ruler. But the primitive wildness in his blood was always calling him
back to the jungle, to the place where there was freedom and no human
control. There he can hunt and run at will, feel the wildness of blood
and flesh torn in his mouth, and accept the most primitive and wild laws
of nature. So at the end of the story, Buck left his master who had deep
feelings with him and returned to the jungle. I think that's where he
really belongs. Seeing Buck's experience, I think of Zhou Guoping's
Prince in Distress, which I learned when I was a child. There is a
sentence I like very much. "No matter who the disaster falls on,
everyone has to bear it, and can bear it-as long as he does not
die." People's potential is unlimited.
