Tea's function
Tea has many magical functions.Liu Zhenliang,a master of the late Tang Dynasty, once put forward the theory of the “ ten virtues ” of tea:tea is tasty; tea can maintain health;tea can drive away stinking odors;tea can prevent the attack of diseases; tea can cultivate energy in the human body; tea can relieve depression; tea can improve manners; tea can convey respect; tea can soothe the mind; and tea can uphold justice. The Chinese also use tea to express respect, to purify the mind, and to better perceive the meaning of life.
The first and foremost function of tea is “ cleansing ” . A cup of fine tea is crystal clear and refreshingly fragrant, so that it can help the body become cleansed and balanced.
Cuju is said to have been invented by the Yellow Emperor, or during the Warring States Period. It was originally a method to train soldiers, and through cuju, soldiers of
talent can be found. For enjoyment, soldiers like to play it when they are free from duty.
It might not be true that.
In the Han Dynasty, cuju is used for fun .People play it when they have free time or in the party. The court field for cuju was a rectangle, while the ball was round, which
accorded with the Chinese idea of "the sky is round and the land is square." A closed
space within high walls, the court field had stands specially built for distinguished
spectators. Records that the game was usually played between two teams, each
having 12 players in the field, with goals on both sides, as well as referees.
