Through over a century, Holmes who was made by him still is considered to be the greatest, the most excellent detective ever in history alive in people's mind, and he is considered to be the most successful detective story writer in making up such a character as well. It's classical. Well, let's get down to the business."The Hound of the Baskervilles' began with a strange, frightening story. According to an ancient story in the 18th century, Hugo Baskervilles was an evil man. He did so many cruel things to an innocent girl that he was punished in being killed by 'a huge terrible hound sent by the Devil'. From then on, many Baskervilles died in strange ways. Poor old Sir Charles Baskervilles was one.But was it really a supernatural case done by the Devil? Or it was a well arranged, bleeding murder committed by someone in the dark for his grim purpose? Through the confused curtain covered on the truth, Holmes finally found it out after searches and searches. It was Stapleton who had murdered Sir Charles and planned to murder the new host of Baskervilles Hall, Henry Baskervilles. As a result, if the murder was successful, Stapleton would be the only Baskervilles left to inherit the lands and the fortune. He was so clever and good at hiding and controlling himself that Holmes said later, "I said it in London and I say it again. Watson. This strong feeling of deep joy was truly beyond description. Yes, we did it! It was a fight between evil and justice, and the fact showed that it is impossible to win an unjust game. The history also showed it. It was an example. No matter how dark it seemed to be, peace and justice finally got achieved. That is the power of justice. As Tennyson said,"One equal temper of heroic hearts/ Made weak by time and fate, but strong in will. To strive, to seek,to find, and not to yield." That is what I have learned.
