Falk's resourcefulness, bravery and perseverance are all in full gentlemanly form, and in the end he gets the girl - he rescues the wife of a martyred prince in India. The author's ingenious and cleverly laid out story is at times vivid and evocative, transporting the reader to a poetic realm and at other times to thrilling scenes.
