short review

After reading the first two chapters of the book, I find Tess was a very kind girl.She was concerned about the family.She regarded the old horses as her friend,and she was depressed about its death.Others were different from her.They were chasing fortune and fame.It seems that her family was poor and her parents were not so wise. It makes me worry about her later life.
