I wat to recommend a novel called Christmas Carol.This story tells the story of Scrooge,amiser like Grandet,who is finally enlightened by three ghosts.ln the begining E ,Dickensgives us a very good picture of a hard-boiled miser ,greedy,selfish and cruel to the core,unwilling to add a lump of coal to staff fire.People all around him were so araid ofhim.Even beggars never expected to receive a penny from hin. However,the appearance of a ghost on Christmas Eve changes all taht .His old partner Marley ,in the form of a ghost,prepares to "rescue"his old friend,sending three ghosts to giveScrooge a glimpse of his past,present and future.After the relevation of the three phantomjourneys,Scrooge is completely enlightened and reborn. In the author's hands,the protagonist's emotional transformation is so real and moving.Forme,this novel can be understanded as a coming-of-age novel of the soul.
