The story focuses on the events of a woman-Viola over two days. Firstly, her landlady came and gave her the letter from Casimir. And then the landlady demanded that she must pay the rent the next day or move out.

Then began to paint Viola ' image. She and Casimir had a special relationship. She looked forward to seeing him but at the same time she compained about his failure of his career.

She is a vain woman, and the following events reflect that.

At this time, a strange man broke into her line of sight. That's a fasinating interlude for her. She was deeply attracted by his heavy clothes and big buttoned gloves, his beautifully brushed hair and his smile.  She thought that the man could give ber everything she wanted, money and luxury. But after that, the man began to show his nastiness. Viola began to resist and managed to get him out. Finally, her hatred and anger for Casimir melted away and began to miss him.

The twists and turns of the story made my mood change accordingly. In my opinion, Viola is a peacockish woman who longed for money and luxurious life. However, she didn't want to get that by her own ability. She just only conplain about other's incompetence. She deserved the life she had. And also the story shows that we should cherish the people around us.
