"The Little Prince" is a magical fairy tale book, with simple, straightforward words to provoke people to think. Once upon a time, we were as pure and simple as the little prince, but most of us have lost that purity under the great VAT of worldly life. Somewhere along the line did we get used to measuring beauty in terms of money. Just like the description in the book. If i have told you these details about the asteroid, the made a note of its number for you, it is on account of the grown-ups and their ways. If you were to say to the grown-ups:" I saw a beautiful house made of rosy brick, with geraniums in the windows and doves on the roof," they would not be able to get and idea of that house at all. You would have to say to them:" I saw a house that cost $20,000." Then they would exclaim:" Oh, What a pretty house that is!" We ,measure our friends by their family background. Like when you tell adults that you have made a new friend, they never ask you any questions about essential matters. They never say to you, Does his voice sound like? What games does he love best? Instead, they demand: How old is he? How many brothers has he? How much does he weigh? Only from these figures do they think they have learned anything about him. After reading "The Little Prince" this book, I am both sad and happy.Sad oneself is no longer pure, sad oneself is secular dyed but unable to change, break free. Happily, these are always people in life who can resist the secular world and keep their original mind. After reading The Great Gatsby, I felt sorry for Gatsby. He wasn't worth it. He did so much for Daisy that he even resisted the charge that driving a car was a human being for her.Daisy was not only moved but also hurried away from the wrong place and continued to live a drunken life without burden. She did not go to Gatsby's funeral. She did not even send a phone call or a flower to express her condolences. I am not worth for Gatsby, if not for Daisy for that illusory dream, he can live a very good life. After all, he's smart, brave and handsome. But it is precisely because of his dedication to love, pure just made him great. This dedication to love, pure at that time and even today are valuable. Why is Gatsby great? The greatness of Gatsby probably lies in his ability to adhere to his original heart in the indifferent society of extravagance and materialism. When love fades from enthusiasm, when fantasy lost to time, when youth surrender to reality, at least in the end, we can still choose, in order to unchanged persistence, regardless of personal danger. There are a thousand Harry Potters in a thousand people. It is very necessary to write down the opinion of a book after reading it. After all, under the influence of time, the next time we finish reading the book, we will have different ideas from the last time more or less. It's interesting to compare book reviews over time.
