The old Man and the sea is a novel in 1951 by hemingwei. It narrates the experience of an old fisherman who named Santago. After eighty-four try days without catching fish, he decideds to go furth sea area. He meets a lange Marin in the distant sea, and finally caught it with rich experience and skillful skills.After two days and nights of fighting, he kills the big fish and tries to pull it back to Shore.But because of being coveted by the shark, the Marlin has only one skeleton left. The old man is exhausted but still drags the Marlin skeletor back to the shore. After reading this book, I felt that I've been greatly inspired.The old man is old in age, but he still has the confidence to fight.He can endure loneliness and overcome difficulties.He has a wealth of experience and determination. His firm brief infected me,and the old people are still the same. As the younger generation,we should also establish a firm belief and work hard for our dreams. No matter what difficulties we encounter,we should try our best to do well. This also vividly explains this sentence:people are not born to be defeated.
