After reading
Helen
I think that this book, which has been respected by Americans for more
than a century, is good at its end and religious atmosphere. We Chinese
women can't understand the intention expressed by the author well.
First, in terms of faith, we don't understand the conservative moral
concepts of Puritans in New England, and the kindness, charity and
forebearance she preached. Endurance and firmness stem from their strict
Christian Protestant ethics. The second is that as a woman who grew up
reading traditional European fairy tales, the idea we were instilled
since childhood was waiting for the prince. We regard love as the only
important thing in life. We always indulge in Cinderella fantasy. If we
are doomed not to wait for Mr. Darcy in life, show off a noble feminist
and show off their celibacy as capital.
