《L~W》reading report
王歆雯
《Little women》was written by Louisa May Alcoa, who borned in a poor
family in America. 《Little women》was created from the experiences of
the author's family and her four sisters. 《Little woman》 tells the life
of an ordinary family, Mrs. March and her four daughters during the war
while Mr. March was not by their side. We can learn from the novel:The
oldest sister, Meg is a vanity, love pretty woman, but she married poor
Mr. Brooke who is Laurie's tutor instead of fall in love with a rich
boy. From Meg, we can understand that love is great, it can tolerate all
imperfect things; On the other hand ,it reflects the defects of the
majority of women in love or marriage, when women fall in love is easy
to lose their mind, they are willing to sacrifice for love, Meg abandon
her strong vanity, around us some give up the job, some abandoned our
friendship or family affection, or even at the expense of his life. Love
allows us to grow, let us understand that you have the shed then get.
Jo, the second sister, is the most described character in the novel. Her
personality is very obvious. Jo is the most lively and wild of the four
sisters. She is not a lady, just like a wild child, but she is very
independent and has her own thoughts. She loves writing and reading and
she dreams of becoming a writer. She was very kind and sensible, and
when she learned that her father was ill, she cut off her long hair in
exchange for money for her mother, and took care of Beth day and night
when she was ill, and stayed with her.Jo presented us with an image of a
woman with strong self-esteem. Beth, the third sister, shows a
traditional goody-goody, and Amy, the fourth sister, loves painting and
dreams of becoming a famous painter. We can feel positive energy from
this family, such as perseverance. Although they may complain about not
having money, they are still trying to live, still fighting for a better
life. No matter what kind of dilemma we are facing, we should bravely
and actively. Secondly, whether it is rich or poor, it is the most
important to be happy with our family.
