Great Gastby

The book is called the great Gastby. But in some ways Gastby was a very ordinary man. He doesn’t show much in this book. We seem to see more of a quiet neighbor than a shrewed businessman. At the same time, Gastby is sometimes not even calm. When he lies about his life, he is often the last person he wants to believe. In a word, in the whole book, Gastby is sometimes stupid.

  So where can Gastby’s greatness be witnessed? The answer seem to lie in the elusive green light. Love weakened Gastby’s courage and wisdom as a soldier and a businessman, but it always made him a pursuit of love.

  Gastby gets everything because of love, and loses everything because of love. A flash of green is dangerous and eternal.
