truth and love
wh913
Daisy has already given up her love and love for material things. Tom, Daisy's husband, behaved rudely and did all sorts of things to be sorry for Daisy, but Daisy never left him. This was the most powerful proof that she had changed. How could a man who was lost in the darkness and didn't want to go out at all cherish the light of gatsby? Her obsession with material things buried gatsby's miserable life. Daisy, whom gatsby was waiting for, should be the manifestation of the perfect image he imagined, rather than her in reality.
